In India, 2500 years ago, Jivaka Kumarbhaccha was the founder of Thai massage, as well as Thai Ayurveda. He used to treat princes, kings and even the Buddha. Even though Thai massage has been around for centuries, Thai yoga massage was created at the Lotus Palm school during the 20th century. Kam Thye Chow is the founder of this form of massage.

Thai yoga massage has many great benefits. It improves circulation, reduces stress and tension, improves the immune system and tones the muscles while providing a great stretch. It centers the body to leave you in a calmer state.

What is Thai Yoga massage, and how is it performed ? 

Thai yoga massage is a very relaxing holistic healing massage that also involves Ayurveda. Thai yoga massage is done on a mat on the floor, while wearing comfortable clothing. This massage is a combination of different techniques; assisted Hatha Yoga, martial arts moves, stretching and breathing. The therapist will use their extremities to execute this massage. Doing this provides help and guidance to the client while moving into different yoga positions.
