What is Reiki?


Origins: 

Reiki first began around 770 AD in Tibet. There is literature at the Mt. Kurama temple that tells us that Gantei, a priest originally founded Reiki. It was only during the 19th century that it was expanded by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese monk.

What is Reiki? 

Reiki is a technique that is used to relax, reduce stress and most importantly to promote healing. Reiki is based on the idea than there is a life force energy that flows through all of us; it is what causes us to be alive. If this energy is low, then we are more susceptible to being sick and feeling unwell, if it is high then we are able to be healthy and happy.



What can Reiki do for me? 

Reiki is very beneficial and can do a lot for you. It will boost your immune system, as well as remove toxins from the body. It gets to the roots of any problem, allowing you to heal faster, and better. It addresses all levels such as emotional, physical, and spiritual.
