Origins: For as long as we know, people have been using hands on healing methods. Massage is possibly one of the oldest of these methods. Using touch, stones, heat and other tools, we have created therapeutic massage.

What is Hot Stone and how it is performed? This is a special kind of massage where therapists use smooth stones that have been heated in a special device and placing them on certain parts of the body , to relax the muscles or they are use as an extension of the hand to massage the body.

What is Shiatsu?


Origins:

 Shiatsu was developed when mixing an ancient Japanese massage Anma, and acupuncture which is a Chinese therapy.

Founder:

 Shiatsu massage was created in the 20th century by Tamai Tempaku. Starting in the 1940s, many shiatsu massage schools have begun to spread throughout the world, and in 1964 the Japanese government acknowledged it as a type of medical therapy.

What is Shiatsu?

This type of massage uses different pressure points throughout the body that are linked to organs and energy pathways.

How it is performed? 

To fix body imbalances, massage therapists use their finger, palms and thumbs to apply pressure to certain areas of the body.
